I went on to work as a Regional Care Coordinator for MATTERS, a digital referral platform across NYS. I developed partnerships with hospitals, jails, outpatient clinics, CBOs, and peer networks in 6 counties in the Hudson Valley, NY.
I am now the Program Director of the Hudson Valley Clubhouse, a therapeutic working community for adults living with mental illness. The Hudson Valley Clubhouse offers people living with serious mental illness a supportive community to foster long term recovery.

I have over 23 years of experience in the field of architecture, and I hold a master degree from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, as well as certifications in passive house, LEED, and registered architecture in four states.
My mission is to create spaces that are energy-efficient, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, integrating passive house principles with architectural excellence. I have been recognized for my achievements in sustainable architecture by the Urban Green Council and New York Passive House, which I co-founded and served as president and executive director. He has been involved intimately with lifestyle brands like The James, Affinia, Joie de Vivre, Thompson and tommie as well as with many independent boutique hotels. He is at the highest echelon of his industry and is now applying all he has experienced and learned to Foster Supply Hospitality.
Sims is Co-Founder of the company’s not-for-profit, A Single Bite, addressing food insecurity and health in Sullivan County. He is also a Board Member of the Sullivan County Visitors Association, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center, the Sullivan County Land Bank, and the Lazarre and Charlotte Kaplan Foundation. Sims holds a BA from Shepherd University. He grew up in Livingston Manor and resides in Youngsville, NY with his wife Kirsten and their two children.

Joseph Horesky is the Vet-Tap program manager at Mental Health America, supporting veterans across Dutchess County through direct services, outreach, and advocacy. A Marine Corps veteran, his background includes community-based work in mental health, resource coordination, and assisting individuals in navigating public programs and support systems.
VET-TAP
The Veterans Employment Training & Transitions Assistance Program (VET-TAP) assists Dutchess County Veterans in all aspects of employment, including resume building, job hunting, job applications, interview preparation, etc. The program also offers local Veterans the opportunity to obtain licenses and certifications in various fields, to broaden their employment marketability. The goal of VET-TAP is to curb veteran homelessness through meaningful employment. VET-TAP is a Dutchess County funded program that works hand-in-hand with the H.E.R.O. Program for housing assistance.
